03-07-2023 : The Congress party has announced that the next meeting of opposition parties will take place in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18. K C Venugopal, the Congress general secretary (organization), made the announcement on Twitter, expressing their unwavering resolve to defeat what they perceive as “fascist and undemocratic forces.”
Venugopal highlighted the success of the previous all-opposition meeting in Patna and emphasized the importance of the upcoming meeting in Bengaluru. The objective is to present a bold vision for taking the country forward while uniting against the perceived threats to democracy. The Congress aims to bring together various opposition parties to form a strong front against the ruling government.
Initially, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar had announced that the next opposition meet would be held in Bengaluru on July 13-14. However, due to clashes with Assembly sessions in certain states, the dates were rescheduled to July 17 and 18.
The meeting in Patna marked the first significant gathering of opposition parties, where leaders from different political parties came together to discuss key issues and devise strategies to counter the ruling government’s policies. It served as a platform for opposition parties to voice their concerns, exchange ideas, and explore possibilities for cooperation.
After a hugely successful All-Opposition meeting in Patna, we will be holding the next meeting in Bengaluru on 17 and 18 July, 2023.
We are steadfast in our unwavering resolve to defeat the fascist and undemocratic forces and present a bold vision to take the country forward.

The upcoming meeting in Bengaluru is expected to continue the momentum generated by the previous gathering. Opposition leaders will likely discuss pressing national issues, evaluate the government’s performance, and explore strategies to address challenges ahead. The meeting aims to foster unity and collaboration among opposition parties, laying the groundwork for a coordinated approach in the political landscape.
The choice of Bengaluru as the venue holds significance, as it represents a crucial political landscape in southern India. With its diverse political landscape and significant presence of various parties, the city provides an ideal setting for discussions and engagements among opposition leaders.
The opposition parties aim to present a united front, raising concerns about democracy, governance, social justice, and other critical issues. They seek to challenge the policies and decisions of the ruling government while promoting their own alternative vision for the country’s progress. Through dialogue, collaboration, and coordinated efforts, they aspire to provide a robust and effective opposition to the current political regime.
The meeting in Bengaluru will be closely watched by political observers and the public, as it holds the potential to shape the political discourse and dynamics in the country. The collective strength and unity displayed by the opposition parties will be crucial in influencing public opinion and shaping the future direction of Indian politics.
