Congress Leader Vikar Rasool Foresees INDIA Alliance Victory in Upcoming Lok Sabha Election in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

20-10-2023 : Vikar Rasool, the President of the Jammu & Kashmir Congress, exudes confidence in the INDIA alliance’s ability to secure all the Lok Sabha seats in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in the forthcoming election.

Drawing a parallel with their success in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil elections, Rasool envisions a sweeping victory for the INDIA alliance in the Lok Sabha election in these regions. The recent LAHDC-Kargil elections set the stage for their optimism, where the National Conference and Congress alliance secured a substantial 22 out of 26 seats. Vikar Rasool emphasized that the party is fully prepared for the upcoming Lok Sabha election and stands united with the INDIA alliance to contest the polls. When it comes to seat allocation, he assured that Congress leaders will engage in discussions with their alliance partners to determine equitable shares.

He underscored the inclusive nature of the party, welcoming members from diverse sections of society, including district presidents, ST, SC, OBC, women, and those under 50 years of age during the joining campaign. Rasool debunked reports of factionalism or non-cooperation within the party and expressed his belief in Congress as a formidable and unified political entity in Jammu and Kashmir.
