Congress Leaders Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar Meet Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra for Key Discussions
19-05-2023 : On Friday, Congressmen Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met with Siddaramaiah, the incoming chief minister of Karnataka, and DK Shivakumar, his deputy. According to insiders, the meeting’s goal was to invite the party leaders to the swearing-in event, which would reportedly take place in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Shivakumar, speaking to reporters, expressed their intention to invite all senior leaders to the upcoming ceremony. He stated, “We want to invite all our senior leaders for tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony. So, we have come here to meet and invite them.”
Highlighting the Congress party’s commitments made during the Assembly polls, Shivakumar emphasized their determination to deliver on those promises. He stated, “We have to deliver. In the first Cabinet, we will implement it.”
Earlier, senior party leader KC Venugopal had announced that, in addition to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, a group of ministers would also take the oath of office on Saturday.
During the recently concluded Karnataka polls, the Congress emerged victorious by securing 135 Assembly seats out of the total 224 constituencies. The meeting between Siddaramaiah, DKS, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra signifies the coordination and preparations within the party for the swearing-in ceremony, as well as their commitment to fulfill the promises made to the people of Karnataka.
