Congress Reconstitutes Disciplinary Action Committee in J&K to Address Indiscipline Cases

Srinagar/Jammu, Oct 18, 2024: In a significant move following the reorganization of its leadership in Jammu and Kashmir, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has reconstituted its Disciplinary Action Committee to address complaints and maintain party discipline. This step comes after the dissolution of the previous committee, following the appointment of a new Party Head in J&K in August 2024.

The newly-formed Interim Disciplinary Action Committee will be chaired by senior Congress leader Mula Ram Baghat and is effective immediately. The committee will be responsible for examining various complaints of indiscipline within the party ranks and taking necessary action as per the party’s guidelines.

The committee comprises prominent Congress figures, including Sdr. T.S. Bajwa, Thakur Balbir Singh, Sdr. Surinder Singh Channi, Shahnawaz Chowdhary, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, and Dr. Audil Farooq Mir, who bring a wealth of experience and insight to ensure effective oversight and resolution of disciplinary matters.
