Congress strongly condemns  militants attack on twin Pandit brothers in  Kashmir

Govt.  failed to ensure Safety of innocents, minorities în Kashmir- Bhalla

Jammu, August 16- PCC Working President Shri Raman Bhalla termed the kashmir situation worrisome due to continued targetted  killings of innocents leading to an atmosphere of insecurity and situation of migration of minorities and Other vulnerable sections from kashmir like 1990s.

 In a hurriedly convened meeting of congress workers at PCC HQ Jammu to  condemn the militants attack on twin Pandit brothers,  Shri Bhalla hit out at the centre Government and UT administration for the failure to check targetted killings and worsening situation în Kashmir. PCC Chief Spokesperson Shri Ravinder Sharma, General Secretaries Shri Yogesh Sawhney , Th. Manmohan Singh, Treasurer Rajniesh Sharma(Mian) besides others were also present.

He said that in the attack Sunil Kumar S/O of Arjun Nath resident of Village Chotagaon, Shopian, Kashmir, killed on spot and his brother Pinto Kumar seriously injured,  the common man feels insecure and minorities including KPs, Sikhs, Jammu and outside employees & workers have become victims and are unsafe. This situation is worrisome and turning back to 1990s.

Bhalla said it is the primary duty of the Government to ensure Safety and security of people but it has failed. It should  ensure Safety of minorities, migrant and Jammu employees by taking all necessary measures including shifting to safer places.

PCC leaders strongly condemned  targetted killings of innocents especially minorities.They said  that the safety of innocents especially minorities, kashmiri pandits and Jammu employees and others is the responsibility of the  Government and it  should take strong and effective measures to deal with the situation. Congress stands for the Safety of common man and  its together în the fight against terrorism, they added.

The meeting also expressed deep shock and anguish over the tragic accident in Pahalgam in which six ITBP persons have reportedly lost their lives, leaving 30 others injured.

The meeting conveyed deepest condolences to the families of Sunil Kumar and ITBP personnel and prayed for speedy recovery of injured.
