Congress to intensify Samvidhan Bachao, statehood movement from April 22

Congress expresses shock over the loss of lives, seeks Ex_ Gratia for affected people

JAMMU, Apr 20: J&K Congress will launch an aggressive, long drawn Samvidhan Bachao campaign alongwith intensification of the statehood movement in each district and assembly segment & block in entire Jammu & Kashmir to expose BJP government for diversionary tactics.

JKPCC president Tariq Hameed Karra chalked out a detailed programme to carry out AICC instructions to adopt State/UT, Provincial, Districts, and assembly segment-wise campaigns to save the Constitution and intensify the restoration of the statehood movement.

A meeting of senior Congress leaders was held at PCC office here under the presidentship of Tariq Hameed Karra to finalize the programme for extended meeting of senior leaders from all districts and Blocks on April 22 at Jammu, followed by province level protest rally in Jammu on April 29 against the onslaught on the constitution by the Modi Government and it’s vindictive politics.

The senior leaders shared their inputs for a detailed campaign to expose the BJP for its failures and diversionary tactics at the constituency level.

The party shall aware the masses aware about the failures of Modi Government on employment front, price rise, taxation, besides its divisive & communal as well as vendetta politics.

The betrayal of BJP on the issue of restoration of Statehood and not extending powers to the elected Government to come upto expectations of sufferings of people will be exposed in the one and half month long programme, the meeting said.

The meeting also took stock of the loss of lives and damages caused during the cloudbursts and strong winds.

The party expressed shock over the loss of lives and property and urged the government to grant adequate ex gratia relief to the affected families.
