Court granted pardon to Salman Khan in deer hunting case

The next hearing of the case will be on 16 January 2021

 

Jodhpur, 01 December: The court granted the pardon to film actor Salman Khan in the deer poaching case today. The next hearing of the case will be on 16 January 2021.

In the District and Sessions Judge’s court on Tuesday, Salman Khan’s lawyer filed an application for apology citing Corona, which A Dalt accepted. Salman is currently in Mumbai. Now he will have to appear in court on January 16 on the next hearing of the case. Today, for the 15th time, the court has waived his attendance.

Actor Salman Khan was to appear in court on Tuesday in two cases related to deer hunting and one related to Arms Act. But the appearance apology presented in the court on behalf of Salman’s advocate Hastimal Saraswat said that the respondent resides in Mumbai. The Kovid-19 epidemic is widespread in Mumbai and Jodhpur. Under these circumstances, the coming of the respondent to Jodhpur is not free from danger. In such a situation, Salman should be given an apology.

Was sentenced to 5 years
On 5 April 2018, the trial court convicted Salman Khan in the black deer poaching case and sentenced him to five years. In this case, the court acquitted co-accused film actors Saif Ali Khan, actresses Neelam, Tabu, and Sonali Bendre, giving them the benefit of doubt. Salman Khan was arrested at that time and sent to Jodhpur Jail. Three days later he was released on the basis of bail obtained from the court. In the case of the Arms Act, the court acquitted Salman. The state government has challenged this decision of the court, while Salman Khan has challenged the five-year sentence given to him. Salman Khan was to appear during the proposed hearing on both these cases on Tuesday.
Cases going on for 22 years
The Arms Act and hunting case filed against the film actor Salman and others have now come for 22 years. Cases were registered in 1998 on 2 October. A deer hunting case was registered against Salman on behalf of the Vishnoi community. Cases were registered against Salman Khan at three different places for deer hunting and possessing weapons of cross-license. Salman Khan was arrested on 12 October 1998 in this case. Five days later he was released on bail.
Convicted in Bhavad case
A case took place in Bhavad. On 17 February 2006, the Chief Judicial Magistrate convicted Salman and sentenced him to one year in this deer hunting case. In the hunting case in the Horse Farm House area, on 10 April 2006, the court held Salman guilty and imposed a five-year sentence and a fine of 25 thousand. Salman got relief from the High Court in these cases. At present, the cases are still pending before the High Court.
