DC Kathua approves 40 compensation cases under SRE
Rs 5.45 Lakh sanctioned as Ex-gratia compensation for families affected due to cross border firing
KATHUA, JULY 10: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting of the District Coordination cum Screening Committee in connection with the Settlement of relief cases of families affected due to cross border firing and shelling in border villages.
A total of 45 cases were examined by the committee out of which 3 cases were rejected whereas 2 cases were found deficient of supporting documents.
After the scrutiny of the cases, 40 cases of affected families were approved under which an ex-gratia cash relief of Rs 5, 45,700 will be given to families as Compensation for housing damages/losses, crop losses, death of animal, etc in cross border firing under Security Related Expenditure ( SRE) grants.
