DC Kishtwar launches eSanjeevani- Telemedicine services for the patients of far flung Kuntwara area of district Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, MARCH 16: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare and the Department of Ayush Kishtwar today launched the eSanjeevani- Telemedicine facility for the people of far-flung Kuntwara area of district Kishtwar here from VC room DC office Kishtwar.
The initiative has been launched to reach out to the patients of the far-flung Kuntwara area at their doorstep which provisions the online medicare consultation.
On the occasion, Dr. Nazia hosted the telemedicine consultation of various patients who visited the Ayush Centre Nagbhatna of Kuntwara area using a digital platform.
The eSanjeevani OPD, the patients registered with a login ID, provided consultation and issued e-prescriptions with the help of staff persons of Ayush Centre Kuntwara.
Pertinent to mention that eSanjeevani OPD is a patient-to-doctor telemedicine platform and provisions health services to the public confined to far-flung areas.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Kishtwar said that the telemedicine services will augment the healthcare system in such areas where enough doctors are not available and where infrastructure is not supportive.
He also informed that more such areas will be covered under the eSanjeevani in the coming time to ensure real-time medicare consultations are made available for far-flung area patients by roping in the best doctors and specialists.
