POONCH, DECEMBER 23: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for the effective and successful implementation of the Social Endeavour for Health and Telemedicine (SEHAT) scheme in the district.
It is worth mentioning here that SEHAT is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India which will be launched by the Prime Minister on December 26, 2020, and the scheme will cover the population which has not been covered under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the officers to keep all arrangements in place for the effective roll-out of the scheme. He further directed for expediting the process of card distribution so that the maximum number of people take benefit of the scheme. He also impressed upon the officers to aware the public about the benefits of the scheme. He asked them to utilize outdoor publicity material like hoardings, banners, and other things for generating maximum awareness among the masses. The Health Authorities were directed to expedite the process of registration under this scheme.
The DDC informed that the district administration is going to organize a launch prog at Mandi, Mendhar, and Surankote Block, while the main function would be held at District headquarter Poonch where the PM will interact with people through Video conferencing.
The meeting was attended by, Dr. Basharat Hussain, ADC Poonch, ACD Poonch, Rajesh Lakhan, CMO Poonch, Ghulam Ali, CEO Municipal council Poonch, Mushtaq Hussain BMO Surankote, Mandi, Mendhar and Medical Superintendent District Hospital Poonch, District Panchayat Officer and DIO NIC Narinder Singh.
