DC Ramban inspects progress of work on NH-44 four- laning project
Directs executing agency to construct proper drainage system
RAMBAN, JUNE 14: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today visited NH-44 and inspected the pace of work at various construction sites of the National Highway Widening Project. He also resolved bottlenecks and issues highlighted by the locals.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, (Collector Land Acquisition, NH-44 Four Laning Project); Project Director, NHAI, Parshotam Kumar, other concerned officers, and locals were present on the occasion.
The DC discussed issues pertaining to the construction of drainage and culvert at Kunfer- Chanderkote stretch as highlighted by the locals. He asked the Project Director, NHAI to construct a proper drainage system in the area to save their houses from the outflow of rainwater.
He directed the construction agencies to ensure the safety of the residential houses and include the construction of protection walls and drainage alongside ROW in the plan.
During spot inspection, the DC also resolved local issues hindering the pace of construction works at a few locations bypassing necessary instructions to concerned officers. Directions were also issued to executing agencies to expedite the pace of work for the timely completion of a prestigious national project.
