DC Ramban reviews performance of Banks, line departments at DLRC meeting

RAMBAN, MARCH 03: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today reviewed the performance of Banks and Line Departments here at a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC).

 The meeting took detailed review of  lending by financial institutions to unemployed youth and farmers under different schemes and .

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner, Who is also the Chairman of DLRC, emphasized on   timely disbursement of loan cases and effective implementation of   self-employment oriented schemes by achieving the cent percent targets under different segments of priority sectors like Agriculture, MSME, Housing, and Education in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner also took stock of the deposits, advances and the CD Ratio targets, besides confirming the minutes of the last DLRC meeting formulated by the Lead District Manager, Ramban.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal;  Lead District Manager, Abdul Rashid Sofi; Cluster Head JK Bank, Subash Manhas; DDM-NABARD, Arushi Sharma; Representatives of RBI,  CAO, CHO,  DSHO, CAHO , AD Fisheries,  Bankers and various senior  officers.

The meeting held threadbare deliberations on bank-wise progress in lending to priority sector and non-priority sector under Annual Credit Plan as of quarter ended December 2021, besides achievements made under other Government sponsored schemes including PMEGP, KVIC, MUMKIN, Tajsewani, NRLM, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana etc.

 It was informed in the meeting that the CD Ratio registered an increase of 1.14% and stood at 51.43%, till December end, while Rs. 182.10 crore were expended on the priority sector as against a target of Rs 478.04 crore i,e 38% of  ACP 2021-22 ending  December 2021. The CD ratio of the District Ramban is second highest after District Doda with 60% in the Jammu province, the meeting was informed.

 While mentioning the achievements in disbursement of loan cases under different schemes by various departments, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Bankers to achieve the cent  per cent target set by the Committee for their respective Banks.

The Deputy Commissioner directed LDM to compile district wise data of achievement under different schemes of priority sector to assess the progress of the banking sector of the district.

Appreciating the officers of various departments for implementing various beneficiary oriented schemes of their respective departments, the Deputy Commissioner directed the LDM and other Departments to use social media platforms for disseminating information about their schemes especially pertaining to youth and women folk. He also expressed his displeasure on the performance of  some banks on their low progress  and   directed  all the Bankers and Departments to ensure disbursement of loan cases to achieve their annual targets,  besides providing  handholding to the applicants in taking benefits from their schemes.
