DDC Rajouri chairs DLRC meet :Rs 879.16 crore Potential linked plan launched for 2021-22

RAJOURI, DECEMBER 29: To review the progress achieved under the targeted schemes launched by the banks in collaboration with the line departments, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Monday convened a joint meeting of bankers and sponsoring agencies.

The meeting reviewed CD ratio, number of financial literacy programmes conducted by the rural branches of banks, the performance of banks under annual credit plan, progress under government-sponsored schemes, progress under KCC, joint liability groups, self-help groups, EDP/DBT, recovery under sponsored schemes etc.

The meeting was informed that district recorded 38.45 per cent in CD ratio as on September 2020, while 42 financial literacy programmes were conducted by JK Bank and JK Grameen Bank in the district as on Quarter ended September 2020 and 1085 persons participated in these programmes.

Regarding training, it was informed that 207 candidates were provided training by Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) during the quarter of the financial year 2019-20. As many as 350 were trained during the current year, of which 203 were linked with banks and 150 were self-financed. However, due to the outbreak of the COVID19 pandemic, these programmes were suspended till 21-09-2020.

While taking a review of ground level credit flow under district credit, the concerned officials said that is Rs 211.84 crore loans was disbursed as on September 2020 in different priority sectors like housing, agriculture, education, micro and small enterprises, renewable energy and personal loans. It was also informed that 5 Joint Liability Groups have been formed up to the end of September 2020.

Similarly, the progress made under social security schemes, KCC, Self Help Groups, Housing for All, NULM, recovery under Government Sponsored schemes was also reviewed in depth.

The DDC impressed upon the bankers to put in place added efforts to increase the CD ratio by focusing on potential areas and stressed on better coordination among banks and government departments for bringing improvement in CD ratio.

For effective implementation of self-employment generation schemes like PMEGP etc in the district, the DDC said that coordination among different stakeholders is required to devise a proper mechanism for identification of actual beneficiaries. He asked for preliminary scrutiny of the cases at the agency level and said that maximum youth should be covered under the scheme in the district.

The DDC also asked the concerned authorities to ensure timely sponsorship and early credit dispensation of cases during the current financial year to achieve all the set targets to facilitate employment generation in the district.

He called for creating mass awareness about business revival loan schemes launched by the Government to enable the people to avail the benefits without any inconvenience. In this regard, DDC advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in coordination with banks to educate, motivate and facilitate self-employment activities.

On the occasion, Potential Linked Plan (PLP) prepared by NABARD for FY 2021-22 amounting to Rs 879.16 crore was also launched by the DDC.

The DDM NABARD, Kanav Sharma briefed the meeting about the main highlights of the PLP, assessed sector-wise potential and also highlighted the importance of the document which serves as a basis for DCP(District Credit Plan).

The meeting was convened by LDM Rajouri Jyoti Parkash Sharma and attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohd Khurshid, Director JKBRSETI, Raman Kumar, DDM NABARD, Kanav Sharma, Chief Manager SBI, Syed Mohd Ashraf, Regional Manager  JKGB, Nisar Malik, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr. Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhary, District Officer KVIB, Abdul Aziz Wani, District Agriculture Officer, Randheer Sharma, Manager Axis Bank, Ashish Sharma, Deputy Manager HDFC Bank, Hitesh Kumar, Branch Manager PNB, Rohit Kumar, PO DUDA, Kavita besides other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
