RAJOURI, AUGUST 11: To review the progress on the widening of Akhnoor-Poonch NH 144 A and Rajouri Thanamandi road and shifting of utilities, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today convened a meeting with the concerned officers here at the Conference Hall of the Dak Bungalow
Among others the meeting was attended by AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; Commander 31 BRTF, KRJ Reddy; Lt Col 58 RCC, Gaurav; SE PWD, Javaid Maqbool; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; Tehsildar Rajouri, Mohd Rafeeq; Tehsildar Thanamandi, Mehmood Khan; ExEn PWD, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PDD, Narotam Kumar; ExEn Jal Shakti Mechanical, Bhupinder Singh besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Concerning the widening of Rajouri Thanamandi road, the meeting was apprised that the road is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 284.22 crore and the work on the road would be completed within two years and currently, the earth cutting work is in progress.
About the assessment of structures and fruit-bearing trees coming in the alignment of Rajouri Thanamandi road, the District Development Commissioner asked the concerned officers to get the assessment done within the shortest possible time.
Regarding the status of the land acquisition process for Akhnoor-Poonch NH 144 A, the District Development Commissioner asked the concerned to expedite the process to avoid delay in the execution of the project.
The DC asked for expediting the pending assessment of fruit and non-fruit-bearing trees from Thandapani and Balshama and structures in Rajouri and Nowshera tehsils coming in the alignment of NH 144 A.
The District Development Commissioner also asked for the Joint verification for shifting of utilities of Jal Shakti and JPDCL on Rajouri Thanamandi road and NH144-A within the shortest possible time.
