DDC Samba reviews Aadhaar seeding of Govt welfare schemes

SAMBA, OCTOBER 15: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting of district officers to review the status of Aadhaar seeding of beneficiaries covered under different centrally sponsored and JKUT welfare schemes, here at mini-conference hall.

Chairing the meeting of district heads of line departments, the DDC took a detailed review of process and achievement recorded so far under Aadhaar seeding.

The meeting discussed in detail about the aadhar seeding of beneficiaries covered under schemes like the National Social Assistant Programme (NSAP), NFSA, MMSFES, Scholarship, and minority assistance Schemes etc.

DDC while emphasizing on the universal coverage under aadhar said that it is of utmost important to link the bank accounts of students and beneficiaries of various schemes with their aadhar number for the effective and transparent implementation of the schemes.

The meeting was attended by the chief planning officer, Sukhleen Kour; District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar; Chief Education Officer; AD FS&CA, and lead bank manager.
