17-06-2023 : Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman, Ghulam Nabi Azad, has taken prompt action in response to the recent earthquake that has affected the Chenab Valley. Recognizing the urgency of the situation and the need to assess the damage incurred, Azad has formed a committee dedicated to this task.
Headed by Vice Chairman G.M Saroori, the committee has been entrusted with the responsibility of gathering detailed information about the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake in the Chenab Valley. Azad has emphasized that all individuals who have suffered losses as a result of this natural calamity should be included in the assessment.
Azad has set a deadline of 7 days for the committee to complete their report. Once the report is submitted, Azad will personally take up the matter with the government to ensure appropriate action is taken to support and assist the affected individuals and communities.
The committee comprises several members who will work diligently to fulfill their responsibilities. They include Ab Majid Wani, General Secretary; Jugal Kishore Sharma, Provincial President; Naresh Gupta, Provincial Vice President & Working Committee Member; Mohd Aslam Goni, Working Committee Member; Salman Nizami, Chief Spokesperson; Sham Lal Bhagat; Arun Singh Raju, State Secretary; Gen Secretary Province; Asif Ghattu, District President Doda; Shabir Lone, District President Kishtwar; and Dharam Chand, District Ramban.
