Demolition drive carried out in Rajouri

RAJOURI, MARCH 21: A team of the concerned officers from the BRO and District Administration on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal visited Salani bridge and demolished an unauthorized structure which was being constructed there.
The concerned officer from the BRO informed that construction was in contravention of the Ribbon development act Samvat 2007.
He further informed that the said land had been acquired for construction of Rajouri Thanamandi Road. This piece of land was there on the already constructed steel bridge by BRO.
“After ascertaining the illegal encroachment, the team immediately demolished the structure”, he said.
Moreover, the District Administration and BRO have also appealed to the public to construct buildings as authorised in the Ribbon development act Samvat 2007 and don’t create any bottlenecks in the way of development.
