Deputy Mayor Jammu Assures Residents of Ward 43 Nanak Nagar of Solutions to Deep Drain Problem

19-04-2023 : Prominent Social activists, Retd Captain Kamal Singh and Diwakar Singh along with hundreds of his supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Jammu & senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria here at ward 43, Nanak Nagar in Bahu constituency. Retd Captain Kamal Singh has tried his luck as an independent candidate from Ward 43 Nanak Nagar in the municipal elections of the year 2018.

Although he moved away from political forums in later days, his activities in social work continued. Deputy Mayor, Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria welcomed Retd Captain Kamal Singh and his to the party wearing BJP’s scarf (patka). Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria along with local Corporator Surjeet Choudhary (Pappu), State Kisan Morcha Vice President Harbans Choudhary, District Secretary Pammi Chowdhary, Indu Puri, and other senior BJP leaders were present. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Billawaria said that the party will be benefited by the coming of social workers retired Captain Kamal Singh and Diwakar Singh to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that social workers Kamal Singh and Diwakar Singh are always ready to help the poor, deprived and common people. Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said, “We are working on the slogan of our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, which means ‘Together with All, Development for All’. On this occasion, Kamal Singh said that he expressed his faith in BJP to bring change in Nanak Nagar area and took membership under the leadership of Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor of Jammu today. Later, Deputy Mayor of Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria also listened to the problems of the people of Ward 43 Nanak Nagar, in which the main problem of some left-out construction work of the deep drain was to be made completed. Local residents said that due to the non-completion of the construction work of the deep drain, the problem of waterlogging persists in the area. Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria assured the general public of the Nanak Nagar area that their problems would be taken up on a priority basis and all possible steps would be taken to solve them.

The Deputy Mayor assured the locals that the work of the deep drain would be started soon so that the people could get rid of the problem of water logging. Deputy Mayor Jammu said that the problem of the people will be resolved with the cooperation of local Corporator Surjeet Choudhary (Pappu) and the concerned departments to ensure the timely and efficient solution to the deep drain problem. He said that basic problems like water, electricity, good roads, and cleanliness will be solved in Ward 43 Nanak Nagar area. He assured the people that several other projects in the area would start soon and would be completed in a time-bound manner. The Deputy Mayor further said that the municipal corporation will take all necessary steps to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the ward and urged the residents to cooperate with them.
