Deputy Mayor Jammu Visits Yatri Niwas and Ashrams, Commends Efforts for Amarnath Yatra

28-06-2023  : Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria took stock of reviewing the preparations for the holy Amarnath Yatra 2023 accompanied by the Chairman of the standing committee JMC Subhash Sharama, Gopal Gupta , Corporators, and Joint Commissioner (H), XEN Electric, Health Officer, XEN Mechanical CTO (N) & other Officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Deputy Mayor Billawaria conducted a thorough evaluation of the arrangements at the Base Camp Yatri Niwas located in Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, Yatri Niwas near Railway Station Jammu, Asaram Bapu Ashram Bhagwati Nagar Jammu & Ram Mandir at Purani Mandi Jammu.

Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria visited the Ram Mandir & Aasaram Bapu Ashram at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu and reviewed the arrangements for the devotees of Amarnath Yatra. During the comprehensive review, Deputy Mayor Jammu expressed his satisfaction with the dedication and efforts demonstrated by all departments involved, including the security wing. Recognizing the significance of the Amarnath Yatra and the paramount importance of ensuring the safety and convenience of the devotees, he commended the collective commitment exhibited by the teams responsible for making the pilgrimage a success.

Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria visited the Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar served as a testament to the attention given to the facilities and infrastructure needed to accommodate the large number of yatris. Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria emphasized the significance of seamless coordination and collaboration among various departments, acknowledging the crucial role they play in managing such a colossal event.

Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria stated the dedication and hard work displayed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation and other departments involved in preparations of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra 2023. The safety and well-being of the pilgrims are of utmost importance to us, and I am confident that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure a smooth and secure pilgrimage.” Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria further added that one more important thing that is added in the current yatra 2023 is that a specific Identification Card- Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) with tracking chip will be provided to each and every Yatri, with the help of which, it will be easy to identify & trace the location of the yatri who is participating in the Yatra 2023.
