Deputy Mayor Launches 8th Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra with Prayers and Devotion

25-08-2023 : Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria flagged off the 8th batch of Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra with prayers at Yatri Niwas in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. Before commencing the journey, prayers were offered amid chanting of shlokas and mantras. The yatra has been organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bajrang Dal since 2005. On this occasion, Neeraj ji National Coordinator Bajrang Dal, Kartik Sudan Province Coordinator Bajrang Dal, Raj Kumar Gupta President Gau Raksha Samiti and other dignitaries were present. Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria said that Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra is one of the important Hindu pilgrimages in northern India and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Deputy Mayor appreciated the role of various agencies in making the Yatra a success.

Deputy Mayor Jammu said that J&K Police as well as paramilitary forces have been deployed for the security of the Yatra and other measures have been taken for the convenience of the pilgrims. He also congratulated Vishwa Hindu Parishad Bajrang Dal for organizing the Yatra grandly.
