Dharmendra Under Close Medical Observation; Discharge Yet to Be Confirmed
Bollywood legend Dharmendra continues to receive medical care at Breach Candy Hospital, family stands by his side amid uncertainty over discharge.
Mumbai, Oct 01 : Bollywood veteran Dharmendra is currently under close medical observation at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, where he has been admitted for the past few days.
According to sources close to IANS, the 89 year old actor initially visited the hospital for a routine health check up but has remained there for further medical evaluation. While the exact reason for his hospitalisation remains undisclosed, doctors are said to be monitoring him closely.
As of now, no official update has been issued regarding his discharge, and family members are staying by his side. His sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, have adjusted their professional commitments to be with their father during this time.
The legendary star, who turns 90 in December, underwent cataract surgery earlier this year. On the professional front, Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024), alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
He will next appear in Sriram Raghavan’s war drama Ikkis, based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient. The film, featuring Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher, is slated for a December 2025 release.
Sharing the trailer of Ikkis on social media, Sunny Deol expressed his pride, writing,
