‘Dhurandhar 2’ Rumours: Could Vicky Kaushal Reunite with Aditya Dhar in a Uri-Linked Universe?

Mumbai, Jan 21 : Bollywood fans are in for a potential treat as rumours suggest that Vicky Kaushal, who famously played Major Vihaan Shergill in Uri: The Surgical Strike, could be joining the star studded cast of Dhurandhar 2, alongside Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal.

Insiders claim this isn’t just a cameo. Reports indicate that director Aditya Dhar is quietly weaving a “connected universe,” linking Uri and Dhurandhar through a shared storyline. Sources tell Mid-Day that despite the differing timelines, Kaushal’s Major Shergill will appear in the sequel, bringing his trademark action-packed energy to the Dhurandhar world. However, whether Ranveer Singh’s character interacts directly with Kaushal’s remains under wraps.

Vicky Kaushal reportedly completed his portions for Dhurandhar 2 last year, even before the release of the first installment. A source close to the project revealed, “Vicky is one of Aditya’s favourite actors. The director designed sequences that could serve as a foundation for spin offs or a larger cinematic universe.”

The Dhar-Kaushal collaboration has been celebrated in Bollywood since Uri’s 2019 blockbuster success, which earned four National Awards and cemented both their reputations in the industry. Although the duo almost reunited for the ambitious sci-fi project The Immortal Ashwatthama, the film was shelved due to budget constraints.
