District Administration Jammu demolishes illegal structures, retrieves 3.5 kanal prime land
Reclaimed land earmarked for Niabat, Sidhra and Police Chowki- Sidhra
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 19: District Administration Jammu, acting under directions of Deputy Commissioner Dr Rakesh Minhas, on Wednesday conducted a major demolition operation at Sidhra, Jammu, targeting illegal constructions raised on State land bearing Khasra No. 95.
A team led by Tehsildar, Paramdeep Singh accompanied by Naib Tehsildar Sidhra/Bajalta, Jagdish Singh, besides Revenue officials and Police personnel, conducted the operation, removing unauthorized shops and structures built on encroached State land. All illegal constructions were demolished on the spot.
Through the action, the department has successfully retrieved approximately 3.5 Kanal of prime land. The retrieved land was immediately taken into official possession and earmarked for the establishment of Niabat and Patwari office and Police Chowki, Sidhra.
The Public has been informed that Niabat Office, Sidhra shall commence functioning from tomorrow itself at this location to further facilitate public service delivery.
The District Administration has reiterated its resolve to continue strict action against violators and encroachers, appealing to the public to refrain from illegal occupation of government land.
