Operating without police verification proves costly as Akhnoor spa centre faces FIR
JAMMU, Jan 18: In a strict enforcement of administrative and security norms, police in Akhnoor have booked the owner of a spa centre along with the proprietor of the land on which it was operating for allegedly violating the District Magistrate Jammu’s orders mandating compulsory police verification of tenants, workers, and employees.
According to police, a spa centre functioning under the name “Colour Relaxing Spa Centre” was found operating without completing the mandatory police verification of its staff, which constitutes a clear violation of the standing instructions and notifications issued by the District Magistrate. These orders require all residents, property owners, and commercial establishment owners to furnish complete details of tenants, employees, and workers to the concerned police station for verification in the interest of public safety and law enforcement.

A police official stated that the matter is under detailed scrutiny and the extent of responsibility of the property owner is being thoroughly assessed. The action was carried out under the supervision and leadership of the Station House Officer (SHO) Akhnoor.
Police have reiterated that any violation of District Magistrate orders, particularly those related to tenant and employee verification, will be dealt with firmly.
