Dr. Farooq Abdullah visits Tulmulla, Khanqah-e-Moula; Extends Message of Unity and Communal Harmony
Prays for lasting peace and prosperity in J&K, Ladakh
Srinagar, June 03: In a gesture underscoring the spirit of Kashmir’s rich syncretic culture, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah today visited the revered Shri Mata Kheer Bhawani Ragnya Devi Temple at Tulmulla, Ganderbal, on the auspicious occasion of Zyeth Atham, a day held in deep spiritual regard by the Kashmiri Pandit community.
Joined by a senior delegation including Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani, Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior Leader Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, PP Kashmir Showkat Ahmad Mir, Syed Tawqeer Ahmad, and Dr. Sameer Koul, Dr. Abdullah extended warm greetings to the devotees and prayed for lasting peace, prosperity, and communal harmony across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
While interacting with devotees at the temple premises, Dr. Farooq conveyed heartfelt hopes for the return of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their homeland. “The essence of Kashmir’s pluralistic ethos is incomplete without our Pandit brethren,” he said, reiterating the National Conference’s vision of an inclusive Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the Omar Abdullah-led government remains firmly committed to the welfare and upliftment of all communities.
Later Dr. Farooq visited the historic Khanqah-e-Moula shrine in Srinagar to participate in the annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Amir Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA) — a towering figure of Sufi mysticism whose teachings continue to inspire unity and spiritual devotion.
Accompanied by Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, and Senior Leader Mubarak Gul, Dr. Abdullah offered Zuhar prayers and joined congregants in seeking divine blessings for enduring peace, brotherhood, and prosperity in the region.
