Dr. Farooq, Omar Abdullah anguished over fire incident in Boat colony Khanabal
Larmi visited affected families, pledges full support
Srinagar, Jan 09: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and MP from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound anguish over the devastating fire in Boat Colony, Khanabal Anantnag, leaving several homes gutted.
In a press release the duo expressed sympathies with the affected families and asked the administration to reach out to them with adequate relief & compensation.
It is pertinent to mention that the boat colony residents come from economically challenged backgrounds and therefore it’s imperative for the administration and the society in general to help them rehabilitate.
Meanwhile, constituency in charge Anantnag West Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi visited the affected families and pledged full support to them. Provincial Vice President Dr Bashir Veeri, South Zone President Syed Tauqeer, District President Altaf Ahmad Wani, party leader Peer Hussain Suharwardy have also expressed grief over the incident and demanded adequate compensation and proper rehabilitation of the affected household owners.
