Dr. Farooq, Omar Abdullah greet people on Urs of Hazrat Mantaqi Owaisi (RA), Hazrat Shah Sadiq Qalandar (RA) 

Srinagar, 27 May: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, along with Vice President and CM Omar Abdullah Tuesday extended heartfelt greetings to the people on the occasion of the Urs observances of Hazrat Syed Muhammad Amin Mantaqi Owaisi (RA) and Hazrat Shah Sadiq Qalandar (RA).

In their message, the leaders emphasized that the teachings of these revered Sufi saints, including Hazrat Mantaqi (RA) and Hazrat Qalandar (RA), advocate for the unity of humankind. The Urs celebrations serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of bringing together individuals from diverse faiths, fostering bonds of friendship and understanding among them. The enduring influence of the teachings of Mantaqi Sahib (RA) and Qalandar Sahib (RA) is rooted in syncretic values and universal brotherhood, leaving a profound impact on the cultural fabric of Kashmir. They expressed their hope that this auspicious day heralds a new era of peace throughout the region.

Meanwhile Party Treasurer Sardar Shammi Oberoi and Minority Wing Convener Sardar JS Azad have called upon the administration to facilitate the observance of the martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj, scheduled for the fifth day of the month of (Harh) June.
