It may be mentioned here that Tawi Trekkers J&K has been organizing Himalayan Trekking Programmes in the Dalhousie-Chamba, Kullu-Manali, and Dharamshala areas of Himachal Pradesh since 1994. Over the years these programmes have emerged as the most popular activity of the club for students during summers in which over 15000 boys and girls have participated so far.

The aim of organizing these short treks for school and college students is to imbibe in their minds a spirit of adventure, love for nature and above all a supreme sense of self-confidence so as to mould them into bold and responsible future leaders/builders of the country.
