Farooq Abdullah Asserts Lord Ram’s Universal Relevance: Challenges Exclusive Ownership Claimed by Certain Groups

In Ranchi Rally, Farooq Abdullah Urges Support for INDIA Bloc, Calls for Protection of Democracy

RANCHI, Apr 21: During the opposition INDIA bloc’s ‘Ulgulan Naya Maharally’ in Ranchi, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah emphasized that Lord Ram belongs to everyone, not solely to Hindus. Without directly naming any party, Abdullah criticized the appropriation of Lord Ram by certain groups, asserting that the revered figure transcends religious boundaries and is a symbol for all humanity. He denounced attempts to claim exclusive ownership over Lord Ram, stating that such actions are a distortion of his universal significance.

Abdullah also targeted the saffron party, alleging that it resorted to unjust measures against prominent leaders like former chief minister Hemant Soren and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal due to fear of their popularity. Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on charges related to money laundering, linked to the former Delhi excise policy, and subsequent detention in Tihar jail, along with Soren’s arrest in connection with a money laundering case related to alleged land fraud, were cited as examples of political persecution.

Amidst these developments, Abdullah urged the public to vote in favor of INDIA bloc candidates as a means to safeguard the country and preserve democracy. The rally witnessed the participation of 28 political parties united in their commitment to uphold democratic values and protect the interests of the nation.
