JAMMU, DEC 26: Senior BJP leader and former Dy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has termed the statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah advocating a dialogue with Pakistan as utter nonsensical demand as primarily terror and dialogue cannot go together. Moreover the past experience of dialogue at the time of Nawaz Sharief and Parvez Musharraf bears testimony to the fact that Pakistan is least interested in establishing peaceful ties with India and its coming forward for a drama has always been a mere drama to mislead the world leaders on the issue.
The senior BJP leader tore into the National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah for asserting that if India does not initiate dialogue with Pakistan then J&K will turn into Gaza. He said that by issuing such statements the former CM is only trying to motivate the gullible Kashmiris to revive terrorism so that the Union Territory returns back to the square one with mayhem and chaos among the people in Valley. He said that the fact remains that overall situation is absolutely normal in J&K especially the Valley where there is no stone pelting or daily hartals now a days.
He said that the issue of targeted killings is a separate issue and the terrorists with full support from Pakistan are using it as the last resort to create chaos and panic in J&K. He said that in such a situation it would be madness to talk to Pakistan which is crystal clear on pursuing its single agenda of disintegrating India in which it has been repeatedly failing.
Kavinder said that it is really an irony that Farooq Abdullah claims that Nawaz Sharief is soon going to return to power in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan is the rogue nation full of uncertainties where there is guarantee only of promotion of Terrorism and it is foolish to claim that a particular person will be the next PM there. He said that Farooq needs to recall how Nawaz Sharief and Imran Khan faced the tune of ISI and the Pak Army thus leaving them powerless.
Kavinder said what an irony that not knowing about the future of his own party in J&K he predicts Nawaz Sharief’s victory in Pakistan.
The senior BJP leader said that it is quite unfortunate that the NC leader like Farooq Abdullah suggests the dialogue with the rogue neighbour instead of demanding the destruction of forces supporting terrorism in Pakistan. He said that the incumbent Govt at the Centre led by the PM Narendra Modi knows very well how to handle the rogue neighbours and it does not require foolish suggestions from anyone.
