FICCI FLO JKL distributes flood relief material under Phase-3 in Jammu
Aarti Chowdhary emphasizes commitment of FICCI FLO JKL to community welfare
Jammu, September 14: FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) today continued its humanitarian initiative by launching Phase 3 of its ongoing Flood Relief Donation Drive, reaching out to families severely affected by the recent floods across the region.
The third phase witnessed the active participation of Ms. Aarti Chowdhary, Chairperson, FICCI FLO JKL, who along with her dedicated team handed over the relief material to Minister Satish Sharma, extending solidarity with the affected communities.
As part of this phase, a total of 150 sets of relief material were handed over to Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma for distribution in his constituency. Another 50 relief sets were handed over at Gorkha Nagar to Neha Mahajan, President, BJP Mahila Morcha, J&K. Each relief kit comprised essential items including blankets, mattresses, bed sheets, and pillows to provide immediate comfort and support to flood-hit families.
The core FLO JKL team accompanying the Chairperson included Varuna Anand, past Chairperson and National Initiative Head Partnerships and Collaboration; Sona Mehta – Treasurer and Shipra Aggarwal- Joint Treasurer.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Aarti Chowdhary reiterated the organization’s commitment to social responsibility and welfare. She said, “As we enter Phase 3 of our relief efforts, our resolve remains stronger than ever. We are committed to ensuring that every affected family receives the support they need to rebuild with dignity. FLO JKL stands with the people, not just today, but throughout their journey of recovery.”
The Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma appreciated the efforts of FICCI FLO JKL, describing the initiative as a timely and compassionate step that brought much-needed relief to flood-affected families. He acknowledged the organization’s commitment to community welfare and assured full support for such noble causes.
The FLO JKL leadership confirmed that subsequent phases are already being planned to ensure wider outreach and sustained assistance across the Union Territory of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
