Jammu, Oct 4: The much-awaited ‘Run4Health’ Half Marathon 3.0, organised by FICCI FLO Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh (JKL) in collaboration with J&K Police and powered by Munjal Auto, will be held tomorrow, October 5, 2025. The marathon will flag off from Gulshan Ground, Jammu, at 5:30 AM, with participants from across the Union Territory expected to join in large numbers.

Senior police officials including Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS, DIG Jammu), Joginder Singh (JKPS, SSP Jammu), Ajay Sharma (JKPS, SP South), and Sheikh Tahir (JKPS, DySP DAR) will grace the event as guests. Pacers and ambassadors of the marathon will also be specially honoured during the ceremony for their contribution in motivating participants and promoting the cause.

On Friday, final preparations were reviewed at Gulshan Ground in the presence of senior police officials. Kits including t-shirts, bibs, and goody bags were distributed to participants, while volunteers and pacers were briefed for smooth conduct of the marathon.

The organizing team of FICCI FLO JKL, led by Chairperson Aarti Chowdhary, includes Varuna Anand (Past Chairperson), Ruchika Gupta (Immediate Past Chair), Varsha Bansal (Sr. Vice Chairperson), Rupika Sahay (Sr. Vice Chairperson), Sona Mehta (Treasurer), Shipra Aggarwal (Joint Treasurer), Nandita Bajaj (Secretary), and Pooja Dewan (Joint Secretary), all of whom were present during the preparations.

Highlighting the vision behind the marathon, Chairperson Aarti Chowdhary said the event is not just a sporting activity but also a social campaign aimed at promoting health, fitness and awareness against drug abuse.

“Drug addiction is a grave challenge facing our youth today. With this marathon, we want to channel the energy of our young people into something positive. Our motto is simple but powerful—‘Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life,’” she emphasized.

She added that fitness-oriented events bring communities together and create a sense of collective responsibility. “When people run together for a cause, they become part of a movement larger than themselves. That is what we want to achieve with Half Marathon 3.0,” she noted.

The ‘Run4Health’ Half Marathon 3.0, being hosted tomorrow, is set to be a landmark event blending sports, fitness and social awareness—encouraging citizens to embrace a healthy lifestyle while rejecting the menace of drugs.
