Figures of happiness on UT status are fake and ridiculous : Shiv Sena 

Jammu: The state, which is divided into two parts after losing its statehood, the claims of development, employment, and restoration of peace that are proved hollow, and the claims before the Supreme Court that 99.99% of the people are happy with the current situation are completely fake and ridiculous, which should be exposed, stated by Manish Sahni, head of the Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit.

In a press conference held at the party’s state central office, state president Manish Sahni said that it has been more than six years since Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood was stripped. Those who supported the repeal of Article 370, including us, are continuously opposing the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir (separation of Leh-Ladakh) and the creation of a Union Territory.

BJP state leaders are also quietly in favor of the immediate restoration of statehood.  Sahni said that Jammu and Kashmir is the first state in the country’s history to be stripped of its statehood and made a Union Territory. Furthermore, the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act was amended, reducing the powers of the elected government and expanding the Lieutenant Governor’s jurisdiction. Sahni said that the public is being crushed under the dual system of governance. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir claimed that 80% of the people would be happy with central rule in 2023, while the claims made before the Supreme Court yesterday that 99.99% of the people were happy with the current situation are totally false, ridiculous, and misleading. Shiv Sena will launch a signature campaign to expose these fake claims.
