Finnish Healthcare Delegation to Explore Opportunities in India’s $372 Billion Sector
Ten Finnish healthcare companies to engage with Indian hospitals, government bodies, and industry stakeholders to identify collaboration opportunities
A high-level delegation of 10 Finnish healthcare companies will visit India from September 15 to 19 for the first time, engaging with leading hospitals, government institutions, and industry stakeholders in Delhi and Mumbai to explore opportunities in India’s USD 372 billion healthcare market.
The visit aims to identify areas of collaboration, joint initiatives, and knowledge-sharing between the two nations. “India and Finland share a vision of building smart, sustainable, and inclusive healthcare. This visit marks a new chapter where Finnish innovation meets India’s scale and ambition,” said Kimmo Lähdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to India.
Finland, recognised for one of the world’s best healthcare systems, combines cost-efficiency with high-quality outcomes. Nearly all patient data in Finland is stored electronically, enabling secure and seamless care. The Nordic nation invests heavily in research and development, fostering collaboration between universities, hospitals, and industry. Its healthtech and medtech sector has produced globally recognised innovations in diagnostics, medical devices, and health data analytics, supported by a thriving startup ecosystem.
Sonali Saigal Kapur, Senior Advisor at Business Finland, highlighted that this delegation marks a significant step toward deeper engagement between Finnish companies and India’s dynamic healthcare sector.
The delegation is organised by Business Finland, the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi, and the Consulate General of Finland in Mumbai. Ambassador Lähdevirta will lead engagements in Delhi (September 15–17), while Consul General Erik af Hällström will oversee the Mumbai segment (September 18–19).
Participating companies cover diverse healthcare domains: advanced diagnostics and disease detection (Nightingale Health, Tezted, Danvantar Biophotonics), digital health and AI-powered prevention (Metabite), biopharmaceuticals and biologics manufacturing (Paras Biopharmaceuticals, Elomatic), infection control and hospital infrastructure (Halton, Serres, Cleamix), and healthcare workforce solutions (Viiom).
This delegation underscores Finland’s commitment to fostering innovation-driven partnerships and contributing to India’s rapidly growing healthcare ecosystem.
