Firing Incident Reported Outside Rohit Shetty’s Residence in Mumbai
Unidentified assailants fire multiple rounds in Juhu; no injuries reported, security stepped up
Mumbai, Feb 1: Unknown individuals opened fire outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area in the early hours of Sunday, prompting a police investigation, officials said.
No injuries were reported in the incident, and security around the residential building was immediately reinforced as a precautionary measure. Authorities said it was not yet clear whether Shetty was present at the time of the firing.
Preliminary information suggests that four rounds were discharged at the building before the assailants fled the scene. Juhu Police, along with teams from the crime branch, reached the spot soon after receiving information and began collecting details related to the incident.
A forensic science team was also deployed to gather evidence, while a heavy police presence has been maintained in the area as investigations continue to identify those responsible.
