New Delhi, May 18: International universities are showing increasing interest in expanding their academic presence in India following reforms introduced under the National Education Policy. Several foreign institutions are exploring collaborations, research partnerships and physical campuses in Indian cities.
Academic experts said India’s large student population, improving research ecosystem and policy reforms are attracting global universities looking to strengthen their presence in Asia. Institutions from the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom are among those considering long-term investments.
Education observers noted that international collaborations may improve research opportunities, student exchange programmes and global exposure for Indian students. The trend is also expected to boost innovation and competition in higher education.
