Samba, 13-09-2022 : Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and former minister Yashpal Kundal demanded the transfer of all non-Muslim employees/ all Reserve category employees serving in the Kashmir Valley to the Jammu division till the security situation improves.
Kundal said in a statement that all the employees and their families serving in Kashmir were going through a mentally depressive state with a sense of insecurity at the place of their posting. Reserve category employees are protesting in Jammu for the last three to four months demanding that they be transferred to Jammu/ their respective districts till the situation in the Valley improves. Kundal said that the administration had also assured to make a policy on this, but till date neither any policy has been made nor reserved category employees transferred to the respective districts. Criticizing the police action against the reserved category employees who have been protesting peacefully in Jammu seeking transfer from Kashmir after the recent targeted killings, the former minister said that instead of using force against the employees, the government should consider their genuine demands and also come up with a comprehensive plan to ensure their safety.
Kundal demanded from the state administration to make a policy to transfer all the reserved category employees to their respective districts at the earliest. Kundal said that these people have contributed to the field of education, revenue, and other departments of Kashmir by helping the local population. However, right now the situation in Kashmir has become dangerous for outsiders. Therefore, the government should order the transfer of reserved category employees to the districts of Jammu till the security situation improves. Kundal said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are united and there is no difference in their ideology.
