Fresh Covid guidelines: DC Ramban tours market areas to review implementation
Inspects progress on Medical Oxygen Generation Plant work at District Hospital
RAMBAN, APRIL 21: District Administration, Ramban, today carried out an aggressive drive to enforce the wearing of face mask cum inspect the implementation of fresh covid containment guidelines in the district.
The enforcement teams also recovered a fine of Rs. 21,200 from people found roaming without face masks. They impressed upon people to wear masks, wash hands, maintain social distance, take vaccine doses and stay indoors.
The Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam along with Senior Superintendent of Police, PD Nitya also visited the main market and interacted with representatives of different trade associations.
After threadbare discussions with them on all aspects of the prevailing situation, the Civil and Police Administration finalized a mechanism to implement the Government’s directions for the opening of 50% of shops in Municipal/ Urban Local Bodies limits on an alternate basis.

The DC also visited District Hospital, Ramban to take stock of progress on installation of Oxygen Generation Plant & MGPS (Medical Gas Pipeline System). The Medical Superintendent, DH apprised the DC that work on the Oxygen Generation Plant was nearing completion and it would start functioning soon.
The DC directed executing agencies to expedite the pace of work to complete the project in stipulated time.
The DC also met with patients and enquired about healthcare services as well as facilities being provided by the Health Department to them besides reviewing the status of Covid prevention measures, vaccination, and SEHAT registrations.
The DC directed the MS to provide the best health care facilities to patients visiting DH from other parts of the district for advanced treatment.
