Within just six hours of his political entry, he was appointed as the working president of the Congress Kisan Cell, which is the second-highest position within the organization. This move by Congress marks a major political shift, reflecting their strategy to leverage Bajrang Punia’s influence. His involvement in the Kisan Cell follows his vocal support for the farmers’ movement, which gained momentum after the wrestlers’ protests. The Kisan Cell has deep roots in Indian political history. It was established in 1910, the first year after India’s independence, with Sayeed Abdul Aziz playing a key role in its foundation. Now, Bajrang Punia is following in their footsteps, having been given the second-highest position in the cell, indicating Congress’s faith in his ability to connect with the agricultural community.
