Garu Bhagat, Tony on development spree in Suchetgarh
kick-start two road projects worth Rs 3 Crore at Dewangarh
Suchetgarh, October 20: In a major push for infrastructure development, two road projects worth ₹3 crore were jointly inaugurated in Suchetgarh jointly by MLA Prof Garu Bhagat and DDC Suchetgarh and senior Congress leader Taranjit Singh Tony. The projects include the construction of new roads from Old Dewangarh to New Dewangarh and New Dewangarh to Birla Village, aimed at improving connectivity and enhancing the quality of life for residents in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Garu Bhagat emphasized the importance of community-driven development. “These are the kind of projects that will bring real progress to Suchetgarh. Now that the elections are over, I stand here as the MLA of all, committed to the development and welfare of every resident. It is time we all come together to build a better future for Suchetgarh,” he stated.
Taranjit Singh Tony highlighted that the projects were sanctioned well before the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, which had temporarily halted progress. “These works were pending due to the election code, but they were approved much earlier. I am grateful to see these important projects taking shape, and the people of the area have expressed their heartfelt appreciation,” he added.
Tony assured the people of RS Pura and Bahu Constituency that he will leave no stone unturned in ensuring overall development in all these areas and also in the whole Jammu city.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of local dignitaries, including Sarpanch Tilak Bhagat, Shashi Bhagat, Sarabjit Singh, Panchayat leaders, Ex-BDC Chairman Tarsem Singh, and other prominent members of the community.
With these projects, Suchetgarh continues its journey towards improved infrastructure and enhanced connectivity, reflecting the commitment of local leadership to foster growth and development.
