GDC Dudu Basantgarh organize Poster Making/infographics competition on HIV on Youth
06-08-2022 : Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College Dudu Basantgarh in collaboration with J&K aids Control Society (JKACS), H&ME Department organized a Poster Making/infographics competition on HIVon Youth today on 06 August 2022 under the supervision of Dr. Bhavnaish Chand Principal of the college and prof. Pradeep kundal Nodal Officer, Red-Ribbon Club of Government Degree College Dudu Basantgarh.
As many as 30 students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and expressed their thoughts on different aspects of HIV or youth through their posters. The Principal, Dr. Bhavnaish Chand speaking on the occasion motivated the students to take part in such types of activities of the college so that they can achieve the ultimate goal of education i.e. overall development of a child. He said that HIV is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. If HIV is not treated it can lead to AIDS, as we know that there is currently no effective cure. Once people get HIV, they have it for life. He further added that besides studying, students must aware of themselves as well as their society which is possible only by learning and taking part in competitive programmes of the college. Palma Devi of sem. 4th bagged 1st Position while Palma Devi of Sem 2nd Got the second position and third position goes to Sapana Parihar All the participants were given certificates of participation.
A vote of thanks was presented by Dr. PP Singh. He congratulated the winners and appreciated the participants as well as Members of the Red-Ribbon Club of the college and J&K AIDS Control Society (JKACS), H&ME Department for organizing such programs for sensitization of adolescent minds.
