GDC Dudu Basantgarh Organizes Insightful Quiz Competition in Honor of Mahatma Gandh
Prof. Anirudh Sharma Awards Prizes and Inspires Students in Mahatma Gandhi Quiz at GDC Dudu Basantgarh
26-09-2023 : In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, an insightful Quiz competition titled “Life and Works of Mahatma Gandhi” was conducted by GDC Dudu Basantgarh, organized under the auspices of AKAM and Sakshar Bharat. The event aimed to honor the remarkable life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, a towering figure in India’s history.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of the college who displayed great zeal and passion for learning about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and his impactful works. To ensure an engaging and challenging contest, three teams of students were formed, each eager to showcase their knowledge.
A dedicated team of professors, consisting of Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Pradeep, and Prof. Vijay, meticulously prepared a set of seventy-five questions that delved deep into the life and philosophy of Gandhi ji. Each participating team was tasked with answering twenty-five questions from this pool.
All the teams displayed impressive knowledge and demonstrated their comprehension of Gandhi ji’s life and ideals. The competition was fierce, and the participants rose to the occasion, making it an engaging and educational event.
Ultimately, it was Team A, comprised of Miss Santoshi Devi, Mr. Suneel Kumar, and Mr. Bheem Singh, who secured the first prize by providing correct answers to an impressive twenty-two questions. Following closely behind, Team B and Team C also performed admirably, answering twenty and nineteen questions correctly, respectively. They were awarded the second and third prizes in recognition of their remarkable efforts.
Prof. Anirudh Sharma, who presided over the event, felicitated all the teams and distributed prizes to the winners. In his closing remarks, Prof. Sharma emphasized the importance of adopting Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and techniques in their daily lives. He urged the students to draw inspiration from Gandhi ji’s values and work towards the betterment of the nation, carrying forward his legacy of truth, non-violence, and service to humanity.
