GDC Dudu Basantgarh Organizes Inter College Essay writing competition on the occasion of “Teacher’s Day-2021 “
05-09-2021: Government Degree College Dudu Basantgarh Organized an Inter -College Essay Writing Competition on the theme “Role, Value and Importance of Teachers in our life and Society” on the occasion of Teacher’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishnan under the aegis of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The Competition took place under the supervision and guidance of Worthy Principal GDC Dudu Basantgarh Dr. Bhavnaish Chand. Organizing Secretary Prof. Rahul Sharma and coordinator Prof. Pradeep Kumar took the initiative and gave the chance to the students to participate in online events. In this Competition student from various colleges of Jammu & Kashmir UT participated and highlighted the role of teachers as a mentor, educational leader, agent of social change, etc. Surjeet Kumar of 2nd Sem. of GDC Dudu Basantgarh got 1st Position, Sakshi Billawria of 4th sem. of GDC Mahanpur and Shabnam Bano of 4th sem. of GDC Dudu Basantgarh shared 2nd Position and Sunita Devi of 1st sem. of host college clinched 3rd position.
Speaking on the occasion Principal of the College said that during the present scenario, teachers have breathed in a new breath of life in the teaching-learning process by designing adequate learning strategies to suit the needs of learners. In this time of covid-19 pandemic situation, virtual learning has provided teachers an opportunity to up-skill and re-skill themselves to become relevant to new generation students. The process of teaching in virtual mode has given an opportunity to teachers to learn and understand and harness the digital space to maximize the learning opportunities.
E certificate were given to all the winners. The principal of the College congratulated the winners of the competition.
