GDC Dudu Basantgarh's Event "Veeron Ko Vandan" Inspires Youth to Contribute to India's Growth
Dudu-Basantgarh, 17-08-2023: In continuing the fervor of Independence Day celebrations GDC Dudu Basantgarh organized the event on the theme VEERON KO VANDAN under the centrally sponsored program “Meri Matti Mera Desh” and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Sh.Mangat Ram, Sh.Suram Chand and Sh. Muzaffar Hussain were specially invited from the Basantgarh area on the occasion.
Prof. Anirudh Sharma appreciated the services rendered by these retired army personnel. He explained how soldiers protect the country from the internal and external hostile enemy of the country. He also narrated the supreme sacrifice made by Sh. Imran Tak Sub Inspector of JK Police. He eliminated two militants before succumbing to militant bullets.
Sh. Mangat Ram was involved in a fierce battle with militants during the blue star operation in 1984 and he eliminated a few militants during that operation. Sh. Suram Chand fought the 1971 Indo-Pak war near the URI sector and escaped unhurt while fighting for the defence of the motherland. Prof. Anirudh Sharma inculcated the spirit of patriotism among students ad motivated them to contribute to the development of this great nation.
Prof. Anirudh facilitated Army personnel by presenting mementos on this auspicious occasion.
Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Sh.Kuldeep Singh, Sh. Bhushan Kumar, Mrs.Arti Devi, and Sh. Rajesh Kumar were also present on the occasion. Prof.Pardeep Kumar presented a vote of thanks to all those present.
