28-06-2023 : The Red Ribbon Club of GDC Dudu Basantgarh organized a grand celebration on 26th June 2023 to commemorate International Anti-Drug Day. This significant event took place under the patronage of the college’s Principal, Prof. Anirudh Sharma. The students of the college showcased immense enthusiasm and zeal throughout the event, making it a resounding success.
The proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Parshotam Singh, who elaborated in great detail about the devastating consequences of drug abuse. He emphasized the need for students to firmly reject drugs and urged them to bid farewell to this harmful habit. Dr. Singh’s speech aimed to educate and sensitize the students about the ill effects of drug abuse, highlighting its detrimental impact on individuals, families, and society as a whole.
Following Dr. Singh’s enlightening address, Prof. Anirudh Sharma, the Principal of the college, took the stage and delivered a motivating and inspiring speech. He urged the students to remain vigilant against the advances of drug peddlers and to reject their influence. Prof. Sharma emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about the perils of drug abuse within society. He articulated that drug use is slowly corroding the very fabric of our society and called upon the students to take a proactive role in combating this issue. Prof. Sharma encouraged them to become ambassadors of change, carrying the message of drug prevention and awareness to the wider community.
The event was graced by the presence of staff members, including Prof. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Vijay Kumar, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, and Sh. Rajesh Kumar. Their participation added value and significance to the celebration, reinforcing the importance of the cause.
Toward the end of the event, Prof. Pradeep Kumar expressed his gratitude by presenting a vote of thanks to all the participants.
