GDC Ramnagar conduct Plantation Drive in collaboration with Forest Department

26-08-2022: GDC Ramnagar in collaboration with the Department of Forests, Govt. of J&K today organized a plantation drive within the College campus. The drive was conducted under the patronage of Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal, and Sh. Kuldeep Kumar, Divisional Forest Officer Ramnagar. A large number of Students, NCC cadets, NSS Volunteers, Staff members, and Officials from the Forest Dept. participated in the drive, and saplings of different species were planted during the event.

Dr. Udhey Bhanu, Principal, appreciated the participants and encouraged all to plant more saplings for a greener and sustainable future. He also thanked the Forest Department for providing about 200 saplings of different species. Sh. Kuldeep Kumar, DFO Ramnagar, also appreciated the participants and explained the importance of such plantation drives. He also assured all possible support for such events in the future as well.

Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra (HOD Physics), Prof. Brinder Kumar (HOD Zoology), Prof. Aditya Sharma (HOD Comp.  Applications and Nodal Officer for the Plantation Drive), Prof. Ritika Mahajan (HOD Chemistry), Prof. Naveed Hassan Choudhary (HOD Geology), Sh. Avtaar Singh (Forest Ranger) and Sh. Kuldeep Kumar (Forester) was also present on the occasion.
