Google Expands Reach of AI-Powered Coding Assistant Studio Bot to India and Global Markets

This innovative technology was initially launched for Android developers in the United States in May of this year. As part of this expansion, Studio Bot is now available in over 170 countries and regions, with support for the English language, as stated by the company.
Studio Bot serves as a valuable tool for developers by aiding in app development through code generation, error correction, and providing answers to queries related to Android development. It offers a conversational experience within Android Studio, enhancing productivity by addressing Android development questions. Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Studio Bot is capable of understanding natural language, allowing developers to ask development questions in plain English.
Google has emphasized the importance of developers verifying Studio Bot’s responses and conducting thorough testing and code reviews to identify errors, bugs, and vulnerabilities before relying solely on its recommendations.
The new capabilities of Studio Bot expand its utility, enabling developers to explore alternative methods of coding, create test cases, and update APIs seamlessly within the Android Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE). This integration is facilitated by a large language model known as Codey, which is based on PaLM-2 and was specifically trained for coding scenarios.
