Government Constitutes Panel to Review J&K Engineering Service Rules
High level committee formed to address promotion bottlenecks in J&K engineering departments
JAMMU, Sep 24: The Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a high level committee, headed by the Chief Secretary, to review the Jammu & Kashmir Engineering Service Rules and address issues arising from the shortage of eligible manpower for promotions in engineering departments.
The panel comprises Administrative Secretaries from Jal Shakti, R&B, Power Development, Finance, GAD, ARI & Trainings, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Departments. It has been tasked with proposing suitable recommendations in accordance with service law and may include additional officers if required.
