Government’s Holistic Strategy to Fill Vacant Posts and Propel Job Growth

New Delhi, 20-12-2023 : In a significant development, the government has undertaken a comprehensive mission to fill all vacant posts across Central Government organizations, as highlighted in a statement made in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Minister of State for Personnel, Jitendra Singh, affirmed the government’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation, citing the implementation of ‘Rozgar Melas’ as one of the crucial steps in this direction.

The ‘Rozgar Melas’ are strategic events conducted nationwide, serving as a platform for the induction of new appointees into various Central ministries, departments, Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), autonomous bodies, and institutions related to health, education, and public sector banks, among others.

Minister Jitendra Singh emphasized that the process of filling vacant posts is ongoing and is being approached with a dedicated mission mode. He underscored the government’s focus on employment generation and improving the employability of the youth as top priorities.

To further these objectives, the Government of India unveiled the Aatmanirbhar Bharat package, designed to stimulate business opportunities and amplify employment prospects. The fiscal stimulus included a range of long-term schemes, programs, and policies aimed at fostering self-reliance and creating extensive employment opportunities.

Singh elaborated on specific schemes launched under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat package, including the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana, Production Linked Incentive schemes, PM GatiShakti, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, and Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi. These initiatives, among others, contribute to the overarching goal of generating substantial employment and promoting self-employment in various sectors of the economy.

Additionally, Singh highlighted flagship programs such as Make in India, Start-up India, Stand-up India, Digital India, Smart City Mission, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation, and Housing for All. These programs are strategically aligned to create diverse employment opportunities for the youth on a national scale.

The minister pointed out that details related to the execution of state-level Rozgar Melas and specific initiatives by state governments are being meticulously maintained by the respective states. The government’s multifaceted approach reflects a comprehensive strategy aimed at addressing unemployment challenges and fostering economic growth through various employment-centric initiatives and policy measures.
