Govt. Polytechnic Jammu Organized Rally On Traffic Awareness
07-01-2023 : The NSS Wing of Government Polytechnic Jammu, organized a two-day traffic rules awareness programme on 6th and 7th of January 2023 in which the students of the college participated. On 6th of January a group of 40 NSS students organized a rally which visited all the departments of the college carrying posters displaying the traffic rules and safety measures to save the precious lives.
On 7th of January a rally was flagged off by the Principal Er. Arun Bangotra in presence of HOD’s, Staff & Students of various departments of this institute. Principal while speaking on the occasion asked the students to follow traffic rules themselves and asked others to do the same .He also urged them to contribute for the upliftment of the society being part of the NSS.
The rally was started from Govt. polytechnic Jammu passed through district police lines, Asia Chowk, Bikram Chowk and culminated near the Administrative Block of the college. The students awarded the general public regarding the traffic rules and personal safety of commuters and general citizens on the road. The students were carrying the posters showing various traffic rules and safety measures like wearing helmets, wearing seats while driving, keeping fog lights on in the foggy weather, not to jump red lights, avoid rash driving and stunts. The rally was organized under the overall supervision of Mr. P.K. Angral Incharge NSS.
